2013 will be remembered as the year when Golf Resort Skalica once again lived up to its reputation of an excellent host. The season ended on November, 18th thanks to fair weather, during which Golf Resort Skalica hosted many minor as well as major golf tournaments.
Slovak Junior Open and Ega Challenge Boys Trophy were the major tournaments that served as qualifications for European Championship in 18 & under /Boys category. Positive feedback from our partners, players and audience has convinced us this season was a success in spite of a slow start. Golf Resort Skalica improved its operational efficiency during low season in 2013 and prepared for periods of drought by drilling a waterhole which ensures a smooth operation even during longer drought periods.
„Even though it was a tough season, I think we did well,“ Peter Kadlíček, general manager of Golf Resort Skalica describes his feelings about the season 2013. The upcoming season 2014 aims to maintain the high level of standards of a high end-golf resort and to live up to the reputation of a good host that constantly meets and exceeds the expectations of its partners and players. Golf Resort Skalica is bringing many innovations for regular as well as new players in order to improve and widen its services portfolio.
The focus of upcoming season is on a new price list including new packages, additional discounts and special offers valid on certain days for specific player groups (regular groups, families, seniors). The technological
progress in the resort will continue with a planned modernization of the Driving Rang, after a waterhole was drilled last year. A new price list, more options for specialized players and a modern technological portfolio should be the standard found in every high-end golf resort. The art of hosting local as well as international top events and tournaments is what defines the status and reputation of a golf resort.
The Czech PGA tour opens the season in May and European Girls Team Championship in 18 & under/ Girls category is planned for this summer. Twenty European teams that registered for this event are carrying high hopes. Following this event Golf Resort Skalica welcomes K+K Monarchy Trophy of six former Austro-Hungarian Empire countries (Seniors). Players can already be looking forward to the upcoming season and their favorite club tour „Trdlo“ that starts in September just like last year. The trophy of Trdlo tour made out of glass was courtesy of RONA Company, the official partner of the club tour, just like last year.
The popular and successful events known from last year will continue to stay in focus this year, too. Players and visitors can participate in fun tournaments such as the opening Texas, night tournament and others, in addition to the club tour Trdlo/ RONA.
„We will host Slovak Open, the International Slovak Championship (Singles) at the end of season. Everybody, players and visitors, are welcome,“ Peter Kadlíček concludes.
